Publication Fee

Buletin Ilmiah Nagari Membangun applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 500,000 per article.

The publication fee is charged only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.

Authors are strongly encouraged to review and understand this publication fee policy before submitting a manuscript to the journal. By proceeding with a submission, authors acknowledge that an Article Processing Charge will apply if the manuscript is accepted for publication.

The Article Processing Charge contributes to the journal's publishing operations and supports the processing, preparation, management, and dissemination of accepted scholarly articles.

Payment of the Article Processing Charge does not influence the peer-review process, editorial evaluation, or decision regarding manuscript acceptance. All manuscripts are evaluated solely on their scholarly quality, originality, relevance to the journal's focus and scope, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and contribution to knowledge and practice.

Acceptance of a manuscript is determined independently of financial considerations.

When Is the APC Charged?

Authors are required to pay the IDR 500,000 publication fee only after receiving formal notification that their manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Submission of a manuscript does not constitute acceptance, and the existence of an Article Processing Charge does not guarantee publication.

A manuscript must successfully complete the journal's editorial assessment and double-blind peer-review process before it can be accepted for publication.

Withdrawal Fee

Authors should carefully consider their intention to publish with Buletin Ilmiah Nagari Membangun before submitting a manuscript and before allowing the manuscript to proceed through the peer-review process.

If an author requests withdrawal of a manuscript on or after the peer-review process has commenced, a withdrawal fee of IDR 350,000 will be charged.

The withdrawal fee reflects the editorial and peer-review resources that have already been committed to processing the manuscript.

Once a manuscript enters peer review, editors and reviewers devote professional time and scholarly expertise to manuscript evaluation. Authors are therefore expected to respect the editorial process and avoid unnecessary withdrawal after peer review has begun.

Author Responsibility Before Submission

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that:

  • The manuscript is appropriate for the focus and scope of Buletin Ilmiah Nagari Membangun;

  • All listed authors have approved the submission;

  • All authors agree to submit the manuscript to this journal;

  • The manuscript is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal;

  • The authors understand the journal's peer-review and publication procedures;

  • The authors acknowledge the IDR 500,000 Article Processing Charge applicable after acceptance; and

  • The authors understand that a withdrawal fee of IDR 350,000 applies when a manuscript is withdrawn on or after the peer-review process has commenced.

Authors are encouraged to resolve authorship, institutional, funding, and publication-related matters before submission to avoid unnecessary withdrawal during the editorial process.

Editorial Independence

Article Processing Charges and withdrawal fees are administratively separate from editorial decision-making.

Editors and reviewers evaluate manuscripts independently based on academic considerations, including:

  • Originality;

  • Scholarly significance;

  • Methodological quality;

  • Relevance to the journal's focus and scope;

  • Ethical compliance;

  • Quality of analysis and interpretation; and

  • Contribution to community empowerment and community-engaged scholarship.

Financial considerations do not determine whether a manuscript is accepted or rejected.
