All articles published in Buletin Ilmiah Nagari Membangun are distributed under the:

Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Under this license, users are permitted to:

These permissions apply provided that users comply with the conditions of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.

License Conditions

Reuse of articles published in Buletin Ilmiah Nagari Membangun must comply with the following conditions:

Attribution

Users must provide appropriate credit to the original author or authors, provide appropriate information about the source, include a reference or link to the applicable Creative Commons license where appropriate, and indicate whether changes have been made.

Attribution must not suggest that the original authors or the journal endorse a user, organization, product, interpretation, or derivative work unless such endorsement has been explicitly authorized.

ShareAlike

If users remix, transform, or build upon material published by the journal, they must distribute their contributions under the same license or a license compatible with the original CC BY-SA 4.0 terms.

This requirement helps preserve the open character of scholarly material and derivative works created from it.

No Additional Restrictions

Users may not apply legal terms or technological measures that prevent others from exercising the rights granted under the Creative Commons license.

Copyright Ownership

Authors retain the copyright to articles published in Buletin Ilmiah Nagari Membangun.

The journal does not require authors to surrender ownership of their scholarly work as a condition of publication.

By publishing their articles under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, authors permit the public to use, share, and adapt their work in accordance with the conditions of that license while retaining recognition as the copyright holders of the original work.

Copyright information and licensing terms should be clearly identified in the published article and on the journal website so that readers understand the conditions governing reuse.

Author Rights

Because authors retain copyright, they retain the right to use and disseminate their published work in ways consistent with the applicable Creative Commons license and any other legitimate obligations associated with the work.

Authors may share and disseminate their published articles for scholarly, educational, institutional, and public communication purposes, provided that the published source is appropriately acknowledged and the applicable license terms are maintained.

The journal encourages responsible dissemination that increases the visibility and accessibility of scholarly work while preserving accurate attribution and the integrity of the published record.

Sharing and Repository Distribution

Articles published under CC BY-SA 4.0 may be shared through appropriate scholarly and institutional channels in accordance with the terms of the license.

This may include dissemination through:

  • Institutional repositories;

  • Subject-based repositories;

  • Academic websites;

  • Researcher profiles;

  • Scholarly networks;

  • Educational platforms; and

  • Other appropriate academic or public communication channels.

When redistributing a published article, users should preserve appropriate citation information, authorship attribution, publication details, and applicable licensing information.

Permitted Reuse

The journal supports responsible reuse of published scholarly content.

Subject to compliance with the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, published material may be used for purposes including:

  • Scholarly research;

  • Teaching and learning;

  • Academic presentations;

  • Literature reviews;

  • Policy discussions;

  • Community education;

  • Research dissemination;

  • Translation;

  • Adaptation;

  • Data and knowledge synthesis; and

  • Development of derivative scholarly or educational materials.

Users remain responsible for ensuring that any reuse complies with the applicable license and properly acknowledges the original work.

Third-Party Material

The Creative Commons license applied to an article does not automatically override separate copyright or licensing conditions that may apply to third-party material included within that article.

Authors are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions for copyrighted figures, photographs, illustrations, datasets, instruments, or other third-party materials incorporated into their manuscripts.

Where third-party material is subject to different reuse conditions, those conditions should be clearly indicated.

Users who wish to reuse such material are responsible for determining whether additional permission is required from the relevant copyright holder.

Open Access and Editorial Independence

Open access does not influence editorial evaluation or publication decisions.

Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, methodological quality, ethical compliance, clarity, and contribution to knowledge and practice.

The journal maintains a clear separation between editorial decision-making and financial or other nonacademic considerations.

The open-access status of the journal does not alter the standards applied to manuscript evaluation, peer review, or publication ethics.

Open Access and Peer Review

All scholarly manuscripts considered for publication remain subject to the journal's established editorial and double-blind peer-review process.

Open access refers to the accessibility and permitted reuse of published content; it does not replace or reduce the journal's requirements for rigorous editorial assessment and scholarly peer review.

The journal maintains the same academic, methodological, and ethical standards for all manuscripts regardless of their subject matter, author affiliation, or other characteristics unrelated to scholarly quality.

Responsible Use and Scholarly Attribution

Open access facilitates wider use of scholarly knowledge, but it does not eliminate the responsibility to acknowledge intellectual contributions appropriately.

Users of material published by Buletin Ilmiah Nagari Membangun should:

  • Cite the original article appropriately;

  • Credit the original author or authors;

  • Preserve relevant publication information;

  • Clearly indicate substantial modifications or adaptations;

  • Comply with the ShareAlike requirement when applicable; and

  • Avoid presenting another author's work, findings, ideas, or interpretations as their own.

Open access and responsible attribution work together to promote both broad dissemination and academic integrity.
