Peer Review Process
The articles published in the Buletin Ilmiah Nagari Membangun depend on the scientific validity and coherence reviewed by our editors and peer reviewers. This review process guarantee that the articles are comprehensible and represent a valuable contribution to the community. Moreover, Buletin Ilmiah Nagari Membangun acknowledged the effort and suggestions made by its reviewers. Each article submitted in this journal is going through these review process steps, which are:
A. Initial evaluation of manuscripts
In this step, the editors evaluate the manuscripts submitted. Although rare, exceptional manuscripts are accepted at this stage. Moreover, those that meet the minimum criteria are passed to experts to be reviewed and articles that have originality problems, serious scientific flaws, or are outside the scope of the Buletin Ilmiah Nagari Membangun will be rejected.
Submitted manuscripts are reviewed by two experts. The reviewers evaluate the scientific sound, coherence, originality, and clarity of the manuscripts. The method is a double-blind peer review. The reviewers are not expected to correct or copyedit the manuscripts and language correction is not part of the peer review process. Reviewers are asked to evaluate whether the manuscript:
- is original by stating the objectives and gaps clearly
- is methodologically sound
- follows appropriate ethical guidelines
- have results/findings which are clearly presented and support the conclusions
- correctly refers to previous relevant works.
The reviewers advise the editors to reach a decision based on their reports and, where necessary, they will consult with members of the Editorial Board. The editor's decision is final.
